People from every walks showed interest in Digital Bangladesh Mela to get digital experience

Digital Bangladesh Mela 2023 is going on for the second day. Being a holiday, many people have come to experience digital technology, to know about all the latest features. The experience zone is the most visited in the fair. One can enjoy gaming and visit unknown spots in VR headsets. Robotics are also displayed in some stalls. 77 stalls and 52 pavilions participated in the fair. Some of these stalls work with internet speed and some provides internet broadband services.

While visiting this fair, Md. Nur Hossain Chowdhury, a freedom fighter and an agronomist commented saying, “After achieving independent, for a long span of time, I was disappointed; but now seeing this unprecedented development and connectivity of the country, hope is spreading again. I hope we will be smart in time like digital.”

Four mobile operator companies are introducing their latest 5G services to the people. Arif Al Mannan, Digital Services Manager of Banglalink said, "First we will master the coverage and 4G and then move towards 5G. He said, mobile operators are now moving towards one stop services. Because people want to get everything from education to treatment to entertainment from one place. That's why we are building Super App.

“Come to the fair”, said Tariqul, “I came to the Digital Fair and made a 360 degree video. Post service includes all modern features. Now recipient and sender will get notification about confirmation of receipt of analog letter. Which is unprecedented.”

Children are enthralled by playing games in VR headsets and exploring the unknown. Arif, a 7-year-old from Experience Zone, said, “Today was really great. Through VR, I can play with dinosaurs, and an unknown world game that looks like new”.

Four seminars took place on the second day of the digital fair. Two seminars held from 11 am to 1 pm. The 5th industrial revolution and 5G infrastructure were also discussed in the media market. Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar was the chief guest, while Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Digital University Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mohammad Mahfuzul Islam, and Additional Secretary of Telecommunication Department Md. Mahbub ul Alam presented their articles.  MBB Secretary General Brigadier General (Retd.) SM Farhad was the moderator of the session. Robi CEO Rajeev Shetty, Fiber@Home Chairman Moinul Haque Siddiqui, Huawei Chief Technical Officer Ma Jian, and Spectrum Division Director General Mohammad Moniruzzaman Jewel discussed on the topics.

On the other hand, the second seminar at Windy Hall was held on the telecommunication sector during disaster. State Minister of Disaster Management and Relief Ministry Dr. Enamur Rahman was present as the chief guest. The article was presented by the Director General of Systems and Services of BTRC, Brigadier General Md. Nasim Parvez, moderated by M Shahadat Hossain, BTRC Commissioner Sheikh Riaz Ahmed spoke as special guest. Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman, former Managing Director of BTCL Dr. Md. Rafiqul Matin, Country Managing Director of E.co Bangladesh Ahmed Zubair Ali and Director of Signals Directorate of Army Headquarters Brigadier General Iqbal Ahmed discussed on the topic.
